Speaking on the first anniversary of the brutal murders of Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar by dissident Republican terrorists, South Antrim MP Dr. William McCrea said:
“On the first anniversary of this brutal murder, the thoughts and prayers of the people of South Antrim go out to the families of these brave young men who were cut down in cold blood by evil murderers. Sappers Quinsey and Azimkar were heroes who died in the service of their country. Those who took their lives will be forever remembered as evil and beneath contempt. We are determined that Northern Ireland is never going to be dragged back in to violence and bloodshed by those who have nothing to offer our community and I would urge the government to act: the people deserve to be allowed to live in peace and they want the dissident terrorist threat crushed.”
