William has served as an Assembly Member since March 2007 and a Councillor within Armagh City & District Council since 2005.
In the Assembly William is a member of the Agricultural Committee and the Employment and Learning Committee. In Armagh City and District Council he is an Executive member and is involved in various other statutory committees within the Council.
William operates a full time Constituency Office in the village of Richhill and employs two full time staff members Cllr. Gareth Wilson and Linda Barnett. The Office is open from 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday and William is readily availble for appointments in the office or if more suitable a house visit.
William maintains strong Christian principles and is currently presiding as Worshipful Master of Ballytyrone LOL 104 he also is a keen advocate of civil and religious liberty for all.
William conducts his constituency work with the same vigour as he runs his own thriving farm business and applies the same principles of hard work, honesty and integrity in all that he does priding himself in working with the people for the people.
